We now offer weekly email alerts showing you the newest books, DVDs, CDs, and audio books that we purchase each week through Wowbrary (beginning Saturday, September 25). We hope you'll enjoy hearing about the many exciting bestsellers, movies, music, and recorded books almost the very moment they arrive at the library. Whenever you spot something of interest, you'll be able to click instantly, reserve it, and check it out at your convenience. National Hispanic American Heritage Month 2021

Join us as we celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15 to October 15), a time to recognize the achievements and contributions of Hispanic American champions who have inspired others to achieve success. Be sure to check out our Adult and Children's displays, read a book by a latinx author, or watch a film that features Latinx directors and actors!   Kids can grab a free mariachi ducky from the Circulation Desk, while supplies last. Junior Friends Is Back!

Fall Book Sale

Join us for our Fall Book Sale Thursday, September 9th through Saturday. September 11th in the atrium of the library. The Book Sale is open: *Thursday: 3pm - 6pm Friday: 10am - 4pm Saturday: 10am - 3pm *Members only (join for $5) We will have a large selection of books, puzzles, games, coffee table books and DVDs for sale. Cash, checks, and credit cards accepted. All proceeds benefit the Gates Public Library. Just a reminder: Beginning TODAY, our hours will have officially expanded, and we will be open at 9am six days a week! Our hours are now the following: MONDAY: 9 AM - 8 PM TUESDAY: 9 AM - 8 PM WEDNESDAY: 9 AM - 8 PM *THURSDAY: 9 AM - 8 PM (*Closed the first Thursday of every month until 11 am) FRIDAY: 9 AM - 6 PM SATURDAY: 9 AM - 5 PM SUNDAY: CLOSED We will continue to offer our Curbside Service during these new hours of operation.
