FINDING WHAT YOU WANT...
- New
titles are marked with a chartreuse sticker on the spine.
- New
popular videos/DVD’s are often charged out. You may place a hold on any
title. Ask at desk if unsure of hold procedure.
- Suggestions
are welcome. Refer children’s suggestions to Donna
Peasley, Children’s Librarian and all other suggestions to Melissa
McHenry, Media Services Librarian.
- Check
online catalog for desired titles.
- Adding “vhs” to
your search will limit results to videocassettes.
- Adding “DVD” will
limit results to DVD’s.
- You may also click the “Search
Options” button and select video.
LOAN POLICIES...
- Limit
of five (5) videos per card, per visit
- Limit
of two (2) DVD’s per family per visit
- 3
day loan for fiction videos/DVD’s (no renewals)
- 1
week loan for non-fiction videos/DVD’s (no renewals)
- Only
literacy and described videos are available by inter-library loan. All
other Gates videos/DVD’s do not circulate
to other libraries. Holds may be placed on Gates videos/DVD’s, but holds
must be picked up at Gates Library.
- Most
videos/DVD’s are for home use ONLY and may not be copied
- The
Library is not responsible for damage to equipment caused by library
videos/DVD’s
- Report
problems with videos/DVD’s promptly by using the Report a Problem form
located inside the case.
OVERDUE FINES...

$2.00 fine per day per title, $12.00 maximum fine

notice occurs at 5 days; a bill for replacement is mailed at 6 weeks
overdue
RETURN OF VIDEOS/DVD’s...

You must return Gates videos/DVD’s to Gates Library. If you
return a Gates video/DVD to another library, you will be charged the
daily fine until it is returned here.

Videos/DVD’s may be returned in the 24 hour drive-up window return
drop per signs at window.
