Gates Public Library Rules of Conduct

PLEASE:

• properly check out your materials before leaving building     

• supervise your children

 NOT PERMITTED:

• animals (except handicapped assistance)

• bare feet

• cell phone use in library

• destroying or defacing library materials or property

• displaying pictures inappropriate for viewing by children and inappropriate for a public library setting

• drinking

• eating

• feet on furniture

• harassment of staff or patrons        

• loitering or selling items        

• loud or disorderly behavior       

• roller-blades or related footwear       

•  running       

•  sleeping       

•  smoking       

•  tampering with library equipment       

•  violent behavior 

VIOLATION OF THE RULES MAY MEAN YOU WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE THE LIBRARY.  CONTINUED VIOLATION OF THESE RULES WILL MEAN YOU WILL BE BARRED FROM THE LIBRARY FOR A PERIOD OF TIME.
