During that time staff will be packing, moving,
unpacking and preparing our new building at 902 Elmgrove
Road.
The new library is in the Elmgrove Crossing Plaza right
next to Jim & Ralph's. We're just down Elmgrove Road
from the YMCA. There are maps available at the
circulation desk
Will my items be due when you're
closed?
No Gates items will be due during the close dates. Our 3
week items are already checking out until June 15th and
our 1 week items will check out to June 15th starting on
Monday, May 9th.
If you check out a non-Gates
item that you received as a hold it will not check out
to June 15th. You can return non-Gates items to any
nearby library, but we ask that once we're closed you
not return Gates items until the new building is open.
If you need information on nearby libraries, ask at
the reference desk.
All items returned during the first four days we're
open will be considered returned on June 15th.
What about Holds?
Starting May 5th, 2011 Gates will no longer be a valid
pick-up location for holds. Patrons and staff will not
be able to place holds to be picked up at Gates.
Holds already placed for Gates will suspend until the
new library opens. You will not lose your place in the
queue; your hold will just be skipped over until we
reopen.
If you would like to change your Hold pickup location to
another library just ask at the circulation desk.
What about Donations?
We will not be taking donations until July. More
information about donations will be forthcoming.

Where will things be in the new building?
On the inside of this brochure are maps of the first and
second floor with the collections marked.
Will you be open the same hours in the new building?
Yes, we will. We will be open Monday-Thursday 9-9,
Friday 9-6, and Saturday
10-5. The library phone number will also remain the
same.
