WELCOME TO OUR MOUSE TUTORIAL!

Here are some points to remember when getting started using the mouse:

  • Rest the heel of your hand on the table, and grasp the mouse between your thumb and ring finger.

  • Rest your index finger lightly on the left mouse button, and your middle finger lightly on the right mouse button. We will not be using the right mouse button today.

  • The term "click" means to press the left mouse button quickly.

  • You move the mouse arrow around the screen by sliding the mouse on the mouse pad.

  • When the mouse is ready to click, the arrow will turn into a little hand with the index finger up.

  • Position the tip of the "finger" right on the spot where you want to click.

  • Be sure to hold the mouse still as you press the left mouse button!
