The Goals for the Gates Historical Society: 

• Conversion of the Hinchey Homestead to a community museum to open in 2004     
• Preserve Local History and support town preservation ordinance 
• Preserve memories of long time residents of Gates on audio/video/website 
• Encourage youth involvement in local history 
• Develop a comprehensive history of Gates 
• General membership meetings for 2003- 2004 at 7:00 PM, generally held at Gates Town Hall Annex, unless otherwise noted
