Continuing activities and services available for Gates residents:

We are a non-profit clearinghouse established to reduce hunger by providing food, resources, information and education to charitable organizations, individuals and communities in our ten county service area. We accept food and monetary donations that help us defray the overhead costs of distributing 6 million pounds of food annually to a network of over 550 human service programs - especially soup kitchens, food pantries and shelters.

Requirements for services: Member agencies must qualify as a 501 (c) (3) tax exempt charity or equivalent.

Fees: "Shared Maintainence" required of $.18/lb. Fees covered for emergency food pantries, soup kitchens and shelters.

Procedure for referral: Member agency must call community relations department at 328-3380 Ext. 32 to set an appointment.
