Continuing activities and services available for Gates residents:

Member of Rochester area Italian Civic League.
Civic Endeavor Award:annual award of approximately $1,000 to a local non-profit organization in the Town of Gates. (including Gates Volunteer Ambulance and Fire Department.).

Monthly Meetings: Gates Town Hall , 3rd Saturday, 7:30 PM. (at each meeting we have a social with entertainment and always something to eat.

Purpose - to promote a better feeling of fellowship among its members through the
active participation in social and civic programs.

Other activities: May Dance (presenting the annual award), Summer Picnic, Christmas Party in December.

Gates Amita Club has one of the largest memberships in Monroe County. AMITA stands for AMerican ITalian Appreciated.

Requirements: To join, one spouse must be of Italian extraction.

Fees: $30 per couple, $15 per person dues per year.

Procedure for referring: Write letter of request to the Gates Amita Club or attend meeting, sponsored by an existing member.
