Click on the ReferenceUSA logo below to search "The No. 1 source of information on businesses and people for researchers, students and job seekers."

Here are the steps for logging in to ReferenceUSA:

1. Click on the logo

2. In the page that comes up, there will be a text box in the upper right-hand corner asking for your library card number.

3. Because this is a service of the Gates Public Library for the residents of the Town of Gates, you must type in the letters GPL before you type in your library card number. Type the letters and numbers in with no spaces.

databases from Gale and facts on File:

Both the Gale company and Facts on File have long been major publishers of both reference books and electronic resources. To log in, all you have to do is click on the image or link and enter your library card number.

To start with, Facts on File has a database designed to assist you with searching for a job or making career decisions. Just click on Ferguson's Career Guidance Center


Three of the most popular databases produced by the Gale Company are General OneFile, Biography Resource Center and Opposing Viewpoints. They are all easy to use and excellent for academic research.
